DOUGLAS STAFFORD

Project Brief

Devise concepts for the rebranding of the company from a 'Mystery Shopping Provider' to nationwide 'Performance Improvement Centre'.

The Solution

During my time as a graduate designer at Douglas Stafford in Portsmouth, I devised many different branding suggestions for the company. A few of my favoured options are detailed below along with a series of direct mailers I produced based on the final branding concept which was produced in conjunction with the now defunct Marriott Design Agency.

Corporate stationary idea 1

The 4 squares in the logo were devised to represent the 4 stages of Performance Improvement that the company offered its clients. Each department would then be branded in the relevant colour.

Corporate stationary idea 2

The identity was based around a calligraphic logotype, that evoked the classic style of the Art Deco movement.

Series of direct mailer postcards

Following on from several meetings with Marriott Design, they decided to take my suggestion of using sports imagery with the tagline of 'Measure, Analyse... Improve' and develop the brand further by adding a neutral colour palette and font themes. These postcards were produced by myself based on those guidelines. The cards were printed on thick satin stock and included both metallic inks and spot UV glossing.
